You Need a 99% "Why"

I have spent a lot of time in the last few months coming to terms with the changes in my life. I have read, surfed, talked to friends and pondered what has happened a great deal and gone round in many circles. I have just started reading another book, recommended to me by this guy. Michael Puskas may be a yank(!) but he seems to be genuinely helpful. Don't know much about his main business, and I'm not affiliated to his opps, but after the support he's sent my way, the least I could do is provide a link to his web site. His main page will introduce you to the Mentoring for Free programme. It seems to be exactly what it says on the wrapper!

What I hadn't clarified in my own fuzzy little brain, was the real reason for my trip to the social marketing launch pad. I started as Mr. No Business Knowledge Whatsoever. I found a small forum called mlmjive that I have visited a few times in the last 5 months. I have corresponded with Michael a few times over the last several months and yesterday he recommended I read a book. "Oh no not another ebook!", was my first reaction to his email. But he had taken the time to look at my blog and my first attempt at hubbing and had given me feedback; so the least I could do, was to follow his advice. I'm glad I did

The recommended book is "Success in10 Steps" by Michael Dlouhy. It is free but it is the valuable kind of free and it doesn't try to sell you on anything except yourself.

I haven't finished by any stretch of the imagination, but the book has already crystallised something that I did not previously pay enough attention to. The sub heading sums it up. Why do we get ourselves into the crazy position of trying to do a marketing business when so many of us have no skill, training or visible aptitude for it? Why do we take the risk with our cash and credit cards of buying into yet another opportunity-possibility? We must have a reason and that reason must be; not just strong, it needs to be a 99% strength reason to do the donkey work, the reading; the credit surfing; the sitting for long hours that success in this industry will demand.

Within minutes of reading the paragraph on page 28 something clicked in the normally sluggish recesses of my brain and I found I had turned the shopping list pad into the next blog entry. You need a fantastically strong reason WHY you want to work this way. I needed and I had, a monstrous WHY but it had never come into really sharp focus before.

So the question is, "Do you know WHAT your WHY is and can you articulate it?

After the shopping list entertainments, I am now putting my musings onto my blog at

The Capsule has Cleared the Launch Pad

This hub isn't to promote my opportunities, or at least, not too overtly I hope. I'm just going to chronicle what works for me and the hurdles I run up against in order to help you to shorten your learning curve. This seems to be the ethos of the Mentoring for Free project; that the many Michaels have set up and I like it: coming from an anti marketing background. Over time I hope that I can turn this hub into a useful point of reference for those making their first uncertain steps into Social Marketing Space.

Whoever you are, whoever you want to be,wherever you live on this planet of ours and whatever life you lead; good luck in your endeavours. I hope that in the near future, we'll meet on the loftier summits; rocky or metaphorical!
